Precision Metalforming Competitive Educational Scholarship
The Precision Metalforming Association Educational Foundation (PMAEF), in cooperation with PMA Districts, is offering scholarships of $500-$3000 to individuals seeking a career in the metalforming industry. Each award is for one year and will be granted based on academic merit. Post-secondary students may reapply for consideration the following year. No applicant may receive more than two scholarship awards. Graduate students, certificate program, and apprentice applicants are limited to one award.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:
- Be a high school senior or a current post-secondary student.
- Be enrolled in one of the following:
– Metalforming, manufacturing, technology, engineering, robotics, or automation programs
– Trades, job training, apprenticeship, machining, CNC, tool & die, welding, or stamping certificate programs
– An accredited institution offering at least 20 contact hours in a related field - Be pursuing further education for a career in manufacturing through a post-secondary institution, trade/technical
- school, or apprenticeship program.
- Meet listed requirements to be considered for this scholarship.
REQUIREMENTS
- Complete the online application form by February 1, 2026, 11:55 p.m. EST.
- 250 to 500-word personal statement with the focus around manufacturing experiences. Topics to consider include career plans, long-range aspirations, special achievements and honors, employment experience and why you think you’d be a good recipient of the award.
- Optional: complement your personal statement with a two-minute video on your interest in manufacturing field and why you would be a good recipient of the award.
- Two letters of recommendation: One from your technology and engineering teacher or instructor; One from a recent or current employer.
- Post-secondary, apprentice and advanced degree applicants need to submit a current academic transcript (an official student copy is acceptable).
- Certificate applicants need to provide a certificate of completion and grade transcript.
- A grade point average of 2.0 or better.
