Kenneth R. Webber Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Iain & Janet Webber in honor of Iain’s father, Kenneth R. Webber. Mr. Webber was an apprentice machinist in Great Britain during World War II machining parts for Rolls Royce aircraft engines. After the war, Mr. Webber and his new bride immigrated to Canada. His background in machining, combined with his interest in all-things-mechanical, provided Mr. Webber the courage to enroll in night school classes to pursue a draftsman/mechanical engineering degree. The sacrifices Mr. Webber made early in life provided an opportunity to immigrate to the United States where he enjoyed a successful engineering career in the timber and pulp industry in the Pacific Northwest.

This scholarship supports Machine Tool or Right Skills Now Manufacturing students with demonstrated financial need and a commitment to working in the manufacturing field. Renewable until program completion with student satisfactory academic progress and dependent on available funds
